Meet the Founders
We’re a husband-wife duo who met in Germany in 2007 and made the United States our home base in 2010.

FounderMarie was born in East Germany and fled the country as a little girl with her parents in 1989, shortly before the wall came down. Talk about timing.
Marie is the creative mind of Smith and Smith Global LLC and the head designer of all products. She left her successful corporate career to spend more time with her husband, Mike, by working with him on Smith and Smith Global’s brands.
She is also an artist.

FounderMichael, who is only known as Mike to his wife, enjoyed a 24-year career in the U.S. Navy and was one of the highest-ranked service advisors for Audi Motorcars in the USA.
Michael is the company’s head of customer service because of his dedication to serving not only his country but also its people.
